Lessons from Beastie Boys v. Monster Energy

Attorney Kimberly Peaslee recently penned an article in the New Hampshire Business Review on the lessons for businesspersons from the Beastie Boys v. Monster Energy copyright infringement case in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The Beastie Boys (“a famous hip-hop group ‘from the family tree of old school hip-hop,’” according to the judge in an earlier opinion) won a $1.7 million jury verdict against Monster Energy in June 2014.
