The Whys and Wherefores of ABC v. Aereo

At the Volokh Conspiracy, David Post has commentary and analysis of ABC v. Aereo, which is being heard by the U.S. Supreme Court today. At issue is a startup company that has developed technology in which a tiny antenna and a portion of disk space is assigned to each subscriber, who are able to record over-the-air TV broadcasts and then view them via an internet connection. The implications for copyright law and the future of television broadcast are potentially huge.

More discussion of the case's implications can be found at Truth on the Market, PC World, and the Washington Post, among other outlets.
