In "Did Anyone Tell the Judge the Business Corporation Law Doesn’t Apply to LLC Dissolution?", Peter Mahler reports on the recent decision in Scibelli v. Beacon Building Group, LLC, 2014 NY Slip Op 24199 [Sup. Ct. Queens County June 20, 2014], in which a New York Supreme Court judge (as noted in Chapter 7 of Business Law Basics, the Supreme Court is New York's general trial court) ordered dissolution of a limited liability company under both New York LLC Law § 702 and Business Corporation Law § 1104-a.
